This CD
contains a treasure of Faiz Ahmed Faiz's most
appreciable efforts. An intellectual of the highest
pedigree, Faiz's thematic variety, contained in the CD,
ranges from classical 'Ghazals' to modern day
romanticism. At the same time, his revolutionary poems,
which made him an idol of the young generation, will
ensure that the collection remains evergreen for a long
time to come.
It is impossible to do justice to this great Urdu poet
in this collection, however the blending of Faiz's
poetry with Zia Mohyeddin's voice has a remarkable
soothing effect on the listener
