Ever since the popular show made its debut in the early eighties, many programmes have tried to imitate its slapstick style and humor with little success. The reason, one feels, is that besides the direction and the content of the play, it was the talent of the individual actors involved and the combined team that was the crowning glory.

Perhaps timing and delivery, more than anything else, makes the difference between an average comedian and a great one. Ismail Tara, Zeba Shehnaz & Majid Jehangir all had excellent timing.

Each of them is an extremely versatile artist- such versatility is displayed in the variety of roles the trio have had to enact. The roles ranging from that of a traffic police officer to newscasters to film actors to bihari servants and on and on.
